Prospects Program
Welcome to the Squamish United Prospects Program, an exceptional entry-level opportunity for aspiring young talents in the U8 to U10 age groups. Our program is aligned with the Canada Soccer Long Term Player Development Model (Fundamental & Learn to Train). It is specifically designed to nurture and develop promising players through a dynamic training regimen, combining the expertise of our technical staff with the dedication of volunteer coaches. The Prospects training group serves as a bridge between recreational and more advanced soccer. It’s a pathway for young talents to transition from our House Program into our Development and Select Programs, and is available to players of all skill levels and abilities.
Players in the Squamish United Prospects Program will continue to be a part of the Squamish House Program, however they will also enjoy enhanced training opportunities in addition to their regular House Program activities. Players will provide one extra practice session per week between September and March. (U8 and U9 for 4 weeks in fall/spring - 8 weeks total). Prospect Program participants will also have the chance to showcase their skills in semi-regular exhibition games and tournaments held in the lower mainland region.
The Squamish United Prospects program is a continuous journey that spans from September through March, with a 2–4-week break in the winter months. This comprehensive program ensures that young players receive consistent training and exposure to a more competitive playing environment. By participating in the Squamish United Prospects Program, young athletes are offered a unique opportunity to unlock their potential and thrive in a supportive and challenging atmosphere. Whether it’s honing their technical skills, enhancing their game intelligence, or learning valuable teamwork and sportsmanship, the Prospects Program sets the stage for a successful soccer journey.
Join us in shaping the next generation of soccer stars. The path to excellence starts here, with the Squamish United Prospects Program.
