Dear Squamish Youth Soccer Community,
We hope this message finds you well.
We regret to inform you that the Howe Sound Soccer League (HSSL) has made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone today’s eagerly awaited First Annual Kicks for Kids Charity Event. This decision has been reached due to the escalating concerns over the deteriorating air quality in our region.
At HSSL, the health and safety of our players, supporters, and volunteers remain our top priority. Over the past 24 hours, we have been diligently monitoring the air quality in the area. While we understand that air quality conditions may change to some extent, the consensus among our health and safety experts is that the current risk to all involved is unacceptably high.
We understand the anticipation and enthusiasm that has surrounded this event, and we share your disappointment in having to delay it. However, we believe that the responsible choice is to prioritize the well-being of our community members. We assure you that this decision has not been made lightly and is based on the most up-to-date information available.
Rest assured that we are already in the process of assessing potential alternative dates for the First Annual Kicks for Kids Charity Event. We are committed to rescheduling the event in the very near future, as soon as we have more favorable weather conditions and improved air quality. We believe in the importance of this event in supporting the charitable cause and bringing our community together.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and support during these challenging times. Please stay tuned for further updates through our official communication channels, including our website and social media platforms. If you have any immediate questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Thank you for your continued dedication to Howe Sound Soccer and the well-being of our community.
Sincerely,
SYSA Board of Directors
